Team building and communication.

On this hands on Friday we focused on working as a team and using positive communication
We were given the task of building a tower made of cups using only a piece of string and a rubber band. Some teams found it really hard to work together and others worked really well. After a discussion we realised that it made it easier if only one person was giving directions and the others were listening and working together. We also learnt that the person giving the instructions had to be very clear and confident and also use positive words.

Welcome to Kereru Whanau Blog!

We are Kereru Whanau at Kaingaroa School in the Far North .
We are a year 4,6, and 6 class with 24 students.
We love our school because we are surrounded by lots of native trees and nature. We have a big field that we play on and we make huts in all of the bushes. Our school only has around 140 students so it is really easy to make friends here. Our class is really passionate about sport, animals and helping the environment.
We hope you enjoy our blog

Here is a Kereru that likes to hang around our school.

We have been working with Matua Tups on Ukulele. We really enjoy this on a Monday morning.
